Projets

DEVPORT is a network of researchers working on maritime and port-related issues, as well as the terrestrial impacts of these activities

A PROJECT BUILT AROUND THE GIS

The DEVPORT project is based on the constitution of a Geographic Information System (GIS) dedicated to the Seine axis. It is rather oriented to economic geography and must be able to assess the logistical organisation of space, the identification of clusters, the relationship of proximity between facilities and transport infrastructure, the conditions of accessibility and the definition of port hinterlands and more generally to explore all the possibilities offered by network analysis tools available in a GIS.

CIRMAR

Research platform for the analysis of marine traffic. The project aims to build a platform of research and application developments allowing to reconstruct the routes of ships using AIS (Automatic Identification System) signals from ships. This tool integrates the GIS. It will benefit from the technical assets capitalized on this occasion CIRMAR is labeled by NOVALOG.

CLASSE (Corridors Logistiques : Application à la vallée de la Seine et Son Environnement)

The project studies the movement of goods in a logistics corridor and its interfaces and its application to the Valley of the Seine.

SEVERAL COOPERATIONS

Researchers are belonging to different laboratories and universities establishing a network that will help to popularize these areas of research in the academic sphere but also in the professional world maritime and port. It also brings together researchers and companies through collaborations or partnerships. The international dimension of the project is increasing over time.
DEVPORT is clearly referenced in the national strategy for port research. It is identified in the white paper that sets as its first objective to establish a current situation in order to better structure the community.
